“Who are my Christmas People? This Saturday, November 4, we will be dressing the Anderson Mansion in her Christmas finery. The fun begins at 10:00 a.m., and we would love, love, love to have your help! We truly need volunteers who would be steady on a ladder to assist with hanging garland on the windows. Greg & Brett Wiles are asking Santa for some helpers with this job. We have plenty of work on the ground too! Shelly and Mary Boente came all the way from O'Fallon today to make new bows/ribbons and fluff garland and wreaths. Shelly will be back Saturday to help direct our volunteers on deco placement. I'm bringing a large roaster of chili for lunch. The Blacksmith Shop is hosting their annual Hammer In from 9 to 12 before joining for lunch. The Tractor Club is hosting their Plow In. MCHS is going to be rocking on Saturday. Some may say it is too soon to be thinking about Christmas. But, we need to be ready for the Carlinville Christmas Market celebration in one month, and the weather forecast this weekend is way too good to waste! Won't you please help us set the scene to welcome visitors during the holidays? Let's Do This!!!!”
